Quetta Gladiators star player, all-rounder Shahid Afridi, on Sunday announced that he will not be playing the remainder of the PSL 7 matches due to fitness issues.
The announcement comes just hours after Quetta Gladiators beat Islamabad United by 5 wickets at the Lahore Qaddafi Stadium.
“The pain in my body has become unbearable and I can’t endure it right now,” said the all-rounder in his video message. “I wanted to play the PSL for my fans and wanted it to end on a good note but I am unable to do so now. I’m sorry to the management of Quetta Gladiators and my fans,”
Shahid Afridi said that he will be starting his rehabilitation process immediately and try to return to the field for Kashmir Premier League.
