Apex Legends Mobile is Launching Next Week in 10 Countries

It was a long time coming, but Apex Legends Mobile is finally launching for some people as Respawn has announced a ‘limited regional launch’ next week for 10 countries that include, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Colombia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, and Singapore.

Apex Legends Mobile is going to available on both Android and iOS for gamers in the regions mentioned above, however, if your country isn’t listed above, then you are going to have to wait until Respawn expands the list of supported countries for the mobile version of the game.

The small-scale release of Apex Legends Mobile is meant to help the team refine the gameplay and optimize the user experience apart from adding some features before a wider launch takes place. The initial mobile character roster mostly sticks to the legends available when Apex Legends was first launched in 2019, although the fast-moving Octane will also be an option.

It bears mentioning that Respawn has confirmed that you won’t see cross-play available with non-mobile platform even though the game supports the feature for all other platforms, including PC, PlayStation and Xbox. According to company, you’ll need to at least an iPhone 6s to play on iOS, while Android users will need a device with at least 3GB of RAM, and OpenGL 3.0 or higher graphics support.

According to the details, the developers of the game have focused their optimizations on popular brands like Samsung, Oppo and Xiaomi, but the company may add other companies to mix in the near future. If you are part of the 10 test countries, pre-registrations for Apex Legends Mobile are now open so be sure to check out the game on your respective app stores for iOS and Android.

It is pertinent to mention that Respawn has not shared any details regarding the wider / global launch of Apex Legends Mobile. “We’ll be sharing updates on global launch once we’ve made informed decisions coming out of the limited regional launch,” said Respawn on their website.
