Apple has announced its latest 24″ iMac with the M3 chip, more memory, and ray tracing capability.
The M3 iMac’s design is similar to the previous generation, but the new M3 chip makes it up to 2x faster compared to the M1 iMac and up to 2.5x quicker than Intel-based 27″ iMac, and up to 4x faster than Intel-based 21.5″ iMac.
Furthermore, there are several memory configurations available for the new M3 iMac with an 8-core GPU, including 8GB, 16GB, and 24GB options with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage. Meanwhile, the 10-core GPU variant also offers a 2TB option along with a base storage version with 512GB.
The 8-core GPU variant has two Thunderbolt 3/USB 4 ports, while the 10-core variant comes with two additional USB-3 ports.
The new 24″ M3 iMac also has Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 and there’s also Gigabit Ethernet on the 10-core GPU variant.
The M3 iMac is equipped with a 4.5K Retina Display at 4,480×2,250-pixel resolution and 500 nits brightness. Apart from these features, there’s also a six-speaker system with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos.
The base variant of the 24″ iMac is priced at $1,299, while t he 10-core GPU variant starts at $1,499.
