Apple Event Summary 25th March 2019

Apple debuted its news subscription service calls it ‘Apple News+’ in Cupertino on Monday, March 25th. Costing $9.99 a month, the service gives subscribers access to magazines and newspapers like the Wall Street Journal and National Geographic.

The first month is free Apple News app comes to Canada. News+ will be available later in the year in UK & Australia but launches today for US & Canada.

Apple Card: Apple’s card built into iPhone for Apple Pay transactions with new Wallet app. no fees, low interest rates, cash rewards up to 2%. no international fees, no over-limit fees. There will be a physical card where there is still no Apple Pay. No card number, no CVV number, no expiry, no signature.

Apple Arcade: Apple’s new game streaming service where you find 100+ new and exclusive iOS tvOS & macOS games. no ads, play across devices, offline play. Launching this fall but no pricing revealed.

Apple TV Channels: All TV shows & movies in 1 place. TV app gets a brand new design. only pay for what you want, on demand & ad-free, online & offline, family sharing supported. Available in May through software update. (100+ countries) TV app coming to macOS, Smart TV’s, Roku & Amazon Fire TV.

Apple TV+: Apple’s original content of TV shows & movies. Ad-free subscription service Available in 100+ countries. Available this fall. no pricing revealed.
