Google AdSense has announced an upcoming feature for anchor ads on mobile, collapsible anchors. This new format automatically adjusts ad height for improved visibility, allowing users to expand and collapse ads easily.
The feature is designed to increase ad engagement and performance on mobile devices by giving users more control over how ads are displayed.
If you already have anchor ads enabled, no action is required. Google AdSense will roll out the collapsible anchors feature automatically over the next 30 days. However, if you prefer to disable this option, you can do so by signing into your AdSense account:
- Go to Ads in your account.
- Click Edit next to the site you wish to update.
- Under Ad settings, go to Overlay formats.
- Toggle off collapsible anchors under More settings.
This addition aims to enhance ad viewability while keeping user experience in mind.
