Loyalty programme members can also directly access their reward cards, simplifying benefits management also with digital features.
Security is also a concern; tokenization is used in Google Wallet as well to keep the financial data secure.
A device-specific alternate card number and dynamic security code are used for each transaction. Additionally, users have to verify their identity before they may add a card, and any data stored on their devices is protected by a screen lock.
Lost devices can also be locked or wiped using the Find My Device feature.
