Instagram is introducing a new feature that allows users to embed their Instagram profile on websites. The photo-sharing platform has introduced a Profile Embed Functionality, which users can use to showcase their Instagram content on third-party websites or link to someone else’s profile.
The social media company also introduced the Playback Feature for Instagram Stories and Reels Visual Replies, The Playback Feature for Instagram allows users to create an end-of-year collection of up to 10 Instagram Stories to share with their followers, while the Reels Visual Replies lets users respond to comment with a Reels Video of up to 60 seconds.
The new features, including the Instagram Profile Embed Functionality, was announced by head of the social media platform, Adam Mosseri on Friday. “You’ve been able to embed an Instagram photo or Instagram video into a website for many years now. This extends on that idea and allows you to embed a miniature version of your Instagram profile on a website” said Mosseri.

Instagram Profile Embed will allow people to get a sneak peek at a particular Instagram handle directly from a website. However, it bears mentioning that the new feature is only available in the US for now. This will particularly be useful for Instagram Creators, Brands, and Businesses to highlight their Instagram Profiles on third-party websites.
The feature is expected to launch globally very soon, however, the company has not shared any official word regarding the matter.
In the video, Adam Mosseri also talks about two other newly introduced features, including the Instagram Playback Feature that allows users to replay a curated selection of their top Stories throughout the year. The feature also offers a recap of the 10 favorite Stories posted by the user during 2021.
Meanwhile, the Reels Visual Replies is another great feature introduced by the platform that lets users respond to comments with a Reels Video of up to 60 seconds. The feature will help Instagram Creators engage with their followers in a much better way and help grow on the platform.
