A known tipster by the name of Digital Chat Station hinted that the Oppo K12 might feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. In a new Weibo post, more details about the smartphone have emerged, although the launch date remains uncertain, it’s expected to debut soon in China.
The Oppo K12 is rumored to sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display. Inside, it could house the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, along with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. Details about the battery and charging capabilities are still unknown. For photography, it may offer a 16-megapixel front camera and a triple camera setup on the back, featuring a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor.
Whether the K12 will match the specifications of its predecessor, the Oppo K11, remains uncertain. The K11, released in July 2023, boasted similar features including a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display, Snapdragon 782G chipset, and up to 12GB RAM. Given that the OnePlus Nord CE 3 was based on the Oppo K11, it’s speculated that upcoming global releases like the Nord CE 4 or 5 could draw inspiration from the Oppo K12.
