This is especially useful these days as taxes imposed on imported smartphones by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) have become very expensive and getting PTA Approval has become extremely difficult for most people.
FBR’s taxes on flagship phones now cost well over Rs. 150,000, which is extremely high and many people buy these smartphones after saving up for a long time, which makes paying almost 50% of the phone’s cost for PTA Approval very difficult for these individuals.
As a result, many people end up using their phones without getting them PTA approved and work around the problem by keeping a cheaper second device such as the Jazz Digit for their SIM card and data usage.
However, now you can get your phones PTA Approved on an easy monthly installment plan.
PTA Approval on Installment Plan
Bank Alfalah’s Alfa Mall has brought an amazing installment plan for PTA Approval of flagship devices that may encourage more people to go through with the process. However, the installment plan for PTA Approval is only available on select smartphones.
As per the bank’s official’s website, you can get only three smartphones PTA Approved at the moment, which include the iPhone 12 series, iPhone 13 series, and iPhone 14 series. However, we can expect more devices to be added to this list in the near future.

Process
- Enter your CNIC
- Enter IMEI No’s given on the Phone box
- Select desired installment plan
- Complete transaction
- After completing transaction your request for PTA will be generated
- TAT of 5 – 7 working days would be required to complete the PTA approval process
- Once PTA approval is completed, you will get the confirmation call from AlfaMall’s merchant
- If you do not receive confirmation call within 7 working days, you can also verify the PTA approval status by entering phone’s IMEI number on PTA’s official website

iPhone 14
You can get your iPhone 14 PTA Approved on easy 3 or 6 month installment plan with zero markup (interest-free) through Alfa Mall’s website and provide the information as mentioned in the process above.
The installment plan for iPhone 14’s PTA Approval will cost Rs. 190,000 in total, which is payable in 3 or 6 payments. Meanwhile, a processing fee of 2.5% Or PKR 875 + FED (whichever is higher) will be charged on 9 and 12 months installments & 5% processing fee will be charged on 18 months installment.
iPhone 13
You can also get your iPhone 13 PTA approved on easy installment plan for just Rs. 165,000 with zero markup (interest-free) at 3 or 6 month payments. In order to avail the service you need to visit Alfa Mall’s website.
iPhone 12
Lastly, PTA approval for iPhone 12 is also available on easy installment plan for Rs. 150,000 on 3 or 6 month payments without any additional markup or interest. In order to avail the service, you can visit the product page on Alfa Mall’s website.
