Samsung has launched its newest flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, which comes with several upgrades, including the Qualcomm’s latest SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, which is apparently more powerful than other models of the same chipset.
The smartphone comes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, which has a Cortex X3 core that runs up to 3.36GHz (previously 3.2Ghz on Galaxy S22) and an Adreno 740 GPU clocked at 719Mhz (up from 680Mhz on Galaxy S22).
The camera on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with a Samsung 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor, which is adaptive. Furthermore, the camera can combine 15 pixels into one for a 12MP final resolution with a 2.4 µm individually-sized pixels.
It can also combine its pixels 4-to-1 and give you a 50MP shot with more detail.
This generation of the Galaxy S23 Ultra beings Camera RAW app , which allows the native camera app to shoot RAW images with the benefits of multi-frame processing, higher level of detail, HDR, and better noise reduction.
The main camera also has improved stabilization over the old 108MP camera with the Adaptive VDIS, which analyzes and subdivides movements and recognizes lighting conditions. It also has a new 2x wider OIS angle compared to last year’s model.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra also comes with a new Astro Hyperlapse video mode.
The remaining three cameras on the back include a 10MP 10x f/4.9 periscope camera, a 10MP 3x f/2.4 shorter telephoto unit, and a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera with autofocus.
In terms of selfies, the front camera is a 12MP f/2.2 sensor with autofocus.
The display on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is almost the same as last year’s model with a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED panel at 1440×3088 resolution and 1750 nits of brightness. Furthermore, the display supports an adaptive refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz.
The smartphones is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging and the Galaxy S23 Ultra can achieve 65% charge is just 30 minutes.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is available in Phantom Black, Green, Cream, and Lavender color options.
The price of the Samsung Galaxy S23 starts at $1,200 and the smartphone comes in four configurations, including 8/256GB, 12/256GB, 12/512GB, and the range-topping 12/1TB.
