The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024 is approaching and anticipation is high for the latest reveals from the tech giant.
At this event, Apple will introduce the new versions of its operating systems, which are almost ready for developer testing. This follows Apple’s tradition of unveiling updates to nearly all its operating systems at WWDC.
WWDC is one of three major events hosted by Apple each year to showcase its latest products and services. Unlike the spring and autumn events, which focus on new gadgets, WWDC is dedicated to developers in the Apple ecosystem.
Apple’s New AI Features
Mark Gurman from Bloomberg predicts that artificial intelligence (AI) will be a key highlight at WWDC 2024. Expected AI features include transcriptions of voice memos, meetings, emails, texts, summaries of articles, and AI-generated emojis. These AI capabilities might be integrated into Apple’s Notes, Photos, Messages, and Safari apps.
iOS 18
Apple is also expected to announce updates for iOS 18. The company has been in discussions with OpenAI to integrate large language models (LLMs) into the new iOS. Gurman claims that iOS 18 will be the most significant iOS update ever.

WWDC 2024 will be held at Apple’s headquarters in Apple Park, Cupertino, California. The event is exclusively for developers who work within the Apple ecosystem.
