Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro globally at MWC 2024 in Barcelona, following its initial launch in the Chinese market last August. This fitness tracker boasts a 1.74-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 336 x 480 pixels, offering sharp visuals with 16.7 million colors and a 336ppi density, all supported by a smooth 60Hz refresh rate.
The display achieves a peak brightness of 600 nits for clear visibility even under direct sunlight and is protected by 2D straight glued tempered glass. The device combines a lightweight (22.5g) and slim (9.99mm) design with skin-friendly and antibacterial materials, elegant leather straps, and a durable shell made of fiber high-sitting polymer with NCVM.
As a comprehensive health and fitness tracker, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro incorporates various sensors for monitoring acceleration, gyroscope movements, optical heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and ambient light. It offers continuous tracking of heart rate, blood oxygen, stress, sleep, and women’s health, with water resistance up to 5ATM. The band includes over 150 sports modes, professional exercise algorithms, and vitality indicators such as calories burned, steps taken, and activity time, providing users with a holistic view of their daily activities and exercise effectiveness.
Additionally, the smart band features automatic screen brightness adjustment, a high-end GNSS chip for independent satellite positioning, and over 100 watch faces, including an Always-On Display (AOD) option. With NFC and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, it seamlessly integrates with the Mi Fitness App and other devices, offering users a versatile and advanced fitness tracking experience.
