Due to consistent heavy rains in Dubai, the government employees have been ordered to work from home for an additional day on Tuesday, 13 Feb 2024. The document has been issued according to the instructions of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai.
The remote work advisory is extendable to all government employees in Dubai except employees whose work duties require them to be physically present in the workplace.
As these steps were taken, the UAE’s Ministry of Education has also extended the period of remote learning for all government schools on 13 February. The decision [that] was taken by the Emirates Education Foundation is a precautionary measure to take in view of the unfavorable weather conditions in the country. The main goal is to make sure the security of both the students and instructors.
