WASHINGTON: United States President Donald Trump told reporters that ‘I don’t want to be in Syria forever, The country is sand & it’s death, no vast wealth.
Speaking at a cabinet meeting on wednesday, US Trump denied giving the military a concrete timeline. “I never said fast or slow, somebody said four months, but I never said that either.” President Trump added.
“We want to protect the Kurds, but I don’t want to be in Syria forever,” Trump said, adding that the country is “sand and it’s death.”
Currently, some 2000 American troops were on the ground in Kurdish-controlled northern Syria.
US President Trump is not happy with the current strategy as the beneficiaries are Russia and Iran.
Russia is happy because we are killing ISIS for them and we don’t want that.
According to President Trump, If we pull out our forces, ISIS will target Iran and Russia.
