Theresa May Could Face No-Confidence Vote

BREXIT: Conservative MPs have triggered a vote of no confidence in Prime Minister Theresa May in her leadership. 

The Chairman of the party’s co-called 1922 committee, said the threshold for a vote had been exceeded – Graham Brandy. 

A ballot will be held later today evening between 6pm and 8pm,  Brandy said, with votes counted “Immediately afterwards and an announcement will be made as soon as possible.”

In a press release, he said: “The threshold of 15% of the parliamentary party seeking a vote of confidence in the leader of the Conservative party has been exceeded.”

Prime Minister will now need the backing of atleast 158 Tory MPs to see off Brexiters challenge and her position would then be safe for 12 months.

The Prime Minister could decide to resign if votes again her were below the e threshold to topple her.
