GUJRANWALA: A man has been arrested for using online games like PUBG and 8 Ball Pool to blackmail kids into sending their sexually explicit videos. according to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Sunday.
The man was arrested after an operation in Jamshoro and several pornographic and sexually explicit videos were recovered from the suspect according to Deputy Director of FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing, Mohammad Iqbal.
According to the details, the man befriended children using online games like PUBG or 8 Ball Pool and later asked them to send sexually explicit videos by luring them with offers of giving them in-game currencies.
“In the past, the culprit had forced some children into sending him videos of their families, after which he would blackmail them,” said Deputy Director Iqbal.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has also received a complaint regarding the matter in the past by the one of the victim’s parents and the suspect was already under investigation of selling pornographic videos according to Iqbal.
The suspect as cyber-abused and threatened children from across the country, including Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab along with their family.
