Engin Altan aka Ertugrul arrives in Lahore on a short visit

Turkish actor Engin Altan Duzyatan known for his role in the popular drama Dirilis Ertugrul arrived in Lahore today on a short visit to Pakistan.

The news of his arrival was confirmed by Pakistan Embassy in Turkey on Twitter. “Mr. Engin Altan Düzyatan just landed at Lahore Airport for a short visit to Pakistan at the invitation of a private business company.” said the embassy in their tweet.

According to the tweet, the Turkish star has arrived in Pakistan on the invitation of a private company. However, more details are not available at the moment.

Engin Altan shot gained massive popularity in Pakistan after the Turkish drama Dirilis Ertugrul began airing in Pakistan on the request of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The drama became an instant hit and one of the most searched movies and TV shows in Pakistan for 2020 according to the top searches revealed by Google for the current year.

Earlier, some other stars of Dirilis Ertugrul, including Esra Bilgic and Gulsim Ali also expressed their desire to visit Pakistan after their popularity also surged in the country.
