The highly anticipated Proton X70 has been launched in Pakistan and price for the vehicle has been revealed by the company during their online event held in Karachi on Friday.
The automotive company its debut in the local automotive sector in collaboration with Al-Haj Group, the company known for bringing FAW automobiles to Pakistan
The online launch event which was held in Karachi revealed some important details about the vehicle including the price and features being offered in Pakistan.
The company is launching the Proton X70 compact-SUV in two variants, including an Executive All Wheel Drive (AWD) and a Premium Front Wheel Drive (FWD).
It is pertinent to mention that both of these variants will be sold as Completely Built Units (CBUs) imported from Malaysia until the local production starts during the second quarter of 2021 according to the Al-Haj Automotive CEO Hilal Khan Afridi.
Interestingly, the CBUs will be sold at a higher price compared to the CKDs which will be significantly cheaper for customers and pre-bookings for the locally assembled variants is also underway at the company’s 3S dealerships.

The Proton X70 compact-SUV comes with a 1.5L turbocharged engine, which produces 177 hp and 255Nm of torque coupled with a Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) system offering quick and responsive gear changes.
