FAISALABAD: In yet another case of violence against women, a policeman allegedly raped a woman in front of her son in Bahawalnagar District of Faisalabad.
According to the details, the policeman was the victim’s neighbor and used to constantly harass and tease woman and upon being told to stop, he ended up raping her at gunpoint at her home.
The woman alleged that the policeman broke into her home in Bahawalnagar District of Faisalabad and raped her in front of her son.
She added that despite registering a case with the police, the accused has not been arrested and was still roaming freely.
However, the police has responded saying that the accused is on interim bail and further action will be taken after receiving the DNA report.
According to the details, the police is carrying out the investigation and promises that justice will be provided to the affected family.
There was a similar incident reported back in September 2020 when a policeman identified as Constable Qabir raped a female dancer at gunpoint in Lahore. A First Information Report (FIR) was registered and the accused was taken into custody.
