PSL 6 2021: Lahore Qalandars VS Quetta Gladiators – Match 4 Highlights

KARACHI: Pakistan Super League sixth edition (PSL 6 2021) – Match 4 Highlights – Lahore Qalandars VS Quetta Gladiators (LQ VS QG) at Karachi National Stadium – Qalandars won by 9 wickets with 10 balls remaining.

Lahore Qalandars had won the toss and elected to field first and allowed for Quetta Gladiators to set a target of 179 despite a rough start to their batting after which the squad was able to score 178/8 in the first innings of the fourth match of the PSL 6 2021 tournament. It is pertinent to mention that the Gladiators had lost the first match of the tournament against defending champions Karachi Kings

Quetta Gladiators had a rough start on the pitch after their openers Tom Banton and Saim Ayub lost their wickets early in the game having scored only 4 and 3 runs respectively. However, Chris Gayle and Sarfaraz Ahmed filled in that gap through their outstanding performance and score of 68 and 40 runs off 40 and 33 balls respectively.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Hafeez also contributed an impressive 33 runs off just 20 balls and guided the Quetta Gladiators to a total of 178 runs but despite the hard work, the Lahore Qalandars were able to chase the target and take the win.

Lahore Qalandars gave an exceptional performance in today’s match and marked their second victory in the PSL 6 2021 tournament. Fakhar Zaman scored an impressive 82 runs off 52 balls while his opening partner Sohail Akhtar managed 21 runs off 26 balls.

Mohammad Hafeez entered the pitch after Sohail Akhtar lost his wicket and scored an outstanding 73 runs off just 33 balls alongside Fakhar Zaman and guided the Lahore Qalandars squad to victory with 10 balls remaining and nine wickets in hand.

Fakhar Zaman was named the Man of the Match and the title was well deserved after his outstanding performance with the bat in today’s match having scored 82 runs off 52 balls for the Lahore Qalandars.
