Islamabad bans inter-provincial public transport on weekends

Islamabad authorities have suspended all types of inter-provincial public transport to and from the capital on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) starting 10 April 2021 to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

According to the notification issued by the District Magistrate Office, the ban shall not be applicable on private vehicles, freight, medical and other agency transport.

Furthermore, all standard operating procedures (SOPs) need to be strictly implemented during the remaining five days.
