LAHORE: The former Inspector General Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Nasir Khan Durrani passes away due to novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) on Monday.

Nasir Khan Durrani was under treatment at Mayo Hospital in Lahore since he contracted with the deadly disease.

Durrani was addmitted in Intensive care unit (ICU) on a ventilator.

The former IGP KP, Nasir Khan Durrani known as the Police Reformer in the province also served as Punjab Police chief reforms commission in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Government.

Nasir Khan Durrani reformed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police by dismissing nearly 800 policemen and punished over 6000 others, KP Police became the symbolic after Durrani’s efforts for which PTI government took the credit to give free-hand to the IGP.

Nasir Khan Durrani was a retired Pakistani police officer belonging to the 10th CTP who served in BPS-22 grade. Durrani is highly regarded as an honest police officer in the country

Even till now KP Police is well deciplined and mannered as compared to Punjab Police and Sindh Police whereas, Islamabad Police constantly being reformed.
