“In today’s NCOC meeting it has been decided to open up vaccination for 30 years and older starting tomorrow.” he said on Twitter. “The messages for those who are being scheduled will go out today.”

The registration for people aged 30 and above started on 16 May 2021.

Yesterday, the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) announced that Pakistanis over the age of 18, who are planning to travel abroad can get their COVID-19 vaccination.

However, these adults need to meet the following criteria:

  • Must have a valid work visa
  • Holding an Iqama
  • Students studying abroad
  • Seafarers with certificate from Ministry of Maritime Affairs.

The decision was taken in the light of requirements by various workplaces, universities and shipping companies abroad. It bears mentioning that these individuals can simply walk into any coronavirus vaccination centre (CVS) with their valid documents and get inoculated.

They will be entered into the NIMS database and issued a certificate of vaccination by NADRA as per normal procedure.
