Apple Podcasts Subscription Service Launch Delayed Until June.

In an email received by creators, Apple has stated that it will launch the Apple Podcasts Subscriptions in June to “ensure the best experience for creators and listeners.”

Furthermore, the company has also acknowledged that creators had issues with delays in their shows appearing in the Apple Podcasts Directory after being uploaded, which means shows were not updating for listeners.

Apple has also taken feedback from new application design for Apple Podcasts for iOS 14.6. The company says that it has additional enhancements planned for the Library interface in the coming weeks.

The Apple Podcasts Subscription Service will allow listeners to sign up for ‘Freemium’ or ‘Paid Podcasts’ as posted by creators. The ‘Freemium’ subscription will allow fans to listen to free and subscribe for additional benefits while the ‘Paid’ subscription will require listeners to subscribe in order to listen to shows.
