Sazgar Engineering Works Limited has started production for the BAIC BJ40 Plus SUV in Pakistan and booking for the vehicle is expected to open soon as per the company in a post on their official Facebook page.
The BAIC BJ40 Plus is an off-road vehicle that was first introduced back in 2018 and based on some previous reports, Sazgar planned to introduce the vehicle in Pakistan sooner but these plans were delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Engine and Transmission
The vehicle comes with two different engine options, which include 2.0L turbo engines in both petrol and diesel mated with both manual and automatic transmission. However, Sazgar plans to first introduce the petrol variant which produces 218 hp and 270 Nm of torque mated with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
