Developed around the theme of Eid ul Adha, Likee’s latest challenge offers content creators the opportunity to showcase their talent and creativity in three main themes; #EidLookChallenge, #BakraEidFun, and #GetGoatInLikee,a special stikcer for creators to join. Likers stand the greatest chances of winning prizes if they shoot more than 7 short videos during the challenge, and every day each user will have a chance to the lucky draw when they upload 1 hashtag video. Rewards may include resources like Airpods, ringlight for the creators, golden beans and diamonds, or even special Eid Stickers to use as overlays in videos. The competition begins on the 17th July and ends on 23rd July, 2021.

The Likee Eid challenges was designed with the goal of offering viewers and Likers from everywhere in Pakistan a chance to feel positively represented in popular online media, when it comes to culturally significant events like Eid. Such representation is important to showcase what makes up the foundations of Pakistani culture, and offers content creators a chance to share a glimpse into their lives on this special occasion.

Spokesperson from Likee said in an interview, “Likee is always on the lookout for unmatched sources of inspiration for young Pakistani men and women who are working towards a brighter future. It is with their inspiration in mind that Likee has created this challenge, and to shine a light on Pakistan’s culturally rich personality. The rising popularity of Likee combined with our Likers’ true passion for creating content of value that resonates with Pakistanis is what is continuing to drive the appeal for Likee in users across the country.”

Like has quickly become a global online video production phenomenon after its launch in 2017, and was ranked No. 1 in AppAnnie’s 2019 report. Just last year, Likee ranked 4th in global downloads, according to Sensor Tower. Likee is also recommended by the apple store in Pakistan.

Farhan Abro

Hello! My name is Farhan Abro, and I'm based here in Islamabad. My journey in Pakistan's digital media really kicked off when I founded INCPak back in 2012. We built it from the ground up, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, to be a trusted voice for independent journalism. But while media is a big part of who I am, I'm also shaped by a fascinating mix of other passions. I'm deeply into automotive, which gives me a technical edge, but I also find my artistic expression through landscape photography and music. And I'm always diving into the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence. Bringing all these different worlds together the technical, the creative, the journalistic, and the entrepreneurial—it really colors how I see things and approach every project. It gives me a distinct perspective that I try to bring to everything I share
