One of Pakistan’s most viral meme from 2015, ‘Friendship ended with Mudasir, now Salman is my best friend’ has been sold in an online auction for 20 Ethereum – which is equivalent to $51,776.
The meme was auctioned on Foundation, the world’s largest platform for NFT listing, by Alter, a Lahore and London-based startup. The information was revealed by SAMAA News in an interview with the Alter’s Founder Zain Naqvi.

The original meme, ‘Friendship ended with Mudasir, now Salman is my best friend’, was created by Gujranwala man named Mudasir Asif Raza Rana in 2015 and soon went viral becoming one of the most viewed memes from Pakistan.
The meme was about Rana finding a new best friend in Salman Ahmad Naqash after breaking ties with Mudasir Ismail Ahmad, who had become selfish.
“Those who shows me Attitude, I keep them under my Foot.” said Rana in his original post.
The meme was put up for auction on Foundation by Alter and sold for 20 Ethereum. The proceeds from the auction will be shared among Foundation, Alter and Rana, the original creator of the meme.
However, it bears mentioning that all three are still friends and the meme appears to have been made just for fun. Muhammad Asif Raza Rana went live on Facebook with Salman and Mudasir and thanked all the bidders who put up big bids on the meme.
