Islamabad Schools Closed Due to COVID-19

Islamabad administration has announced that all public and private schools in Islamabad will remain closed for one week due to rising number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases. The announcement was made by Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqaat on Twitter.

The Islamabad Deputy Commissioner said that schools in the capital city will remain closed until 12th September 2021 to control the spread of COVID-19.

Moreover, the announcement mentioned several other restrictions, including:

  • Ban on Inter-City Transport
  • Closure of Indoor Gyms.
  • Ban of Indoor and Outdoor Gatherings.

It bears mentioning that Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas also announced that schools in the province will remain closed for one week due to rising number of COVID-19 cases.
