Facebook, Instagram & WhatsApp Down For Several Users

Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp appear to be down once again as users have started reporting issues with these services for the last several minutes.

According to DownDetector which monitors websites and other online services, Facebook services, including Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp are down for several users. However, this does not appear to be a global outage as experienced a few days earlier when all these social media platforms were down for several hours.

DownDetector reported that Facebook started having issues with their services around 2:40PM EDT.

Earlier this week, Facebook and all associated services remain down for users for several hours before being restored. There are many speculations as to why this may have happened but the company did not release a clear statement on the matter.
