Fake Notification on Sindh Schools Closure Circulating on Social Media

There is a fake notification circulating on social media regarding closure of schools in Sindh due to the surge in COVID-19 cases across the province, especially in Karachi. However, there is no such notification issued by the Sindh Government and all such news being circulated on social media is misinformation.

The clarification was made by the Sindh Chief Secretary, who said that the provincial Government has not issued any notification regarding closure of schools in Sindh due to rise in coronavirus cases. “The notification circulating on social media is fake,” he said.

It is pertinent to mention that it was earlier reported that Sindh Government is mulling over extending the winter vacations in the province, especially Karachi due to rise in the coronavirus cases. However, there is no progress made in this front and schools in Sindh are open as per schedule.

Furthermore, the Sindh Government has made COVID-19 vaccination mandatory for all children aged 12 and above in order to protect them from the deadly virus and let educational institutions continue studies without any interruptions.
