According to Video Games Chronicles, the PS3 game, Dead of Alive 5 was briefly listed on display at a price of £7.99, where it was previously redirecting users to the PlayStation Now version of the game. Furthermore, there are other users who have reported similar new listings for the PS3 versions of Bejewelled, as well as Prince of Persia games, The Forgotten Sands, and the Two Thrones.

These games were listed at their own individual purchase prices, however, none of them were actually purchasable at the mentioned prices on the PlayStation 5, which means the backwards compatibility might be in the works. However, there is no actual announcement by the company regarding such plans.

It is pertinent to mention that a Sony Patent recently appeared online titled, ‘backward compatibility through the use of spoof clock and fine grain frequency control’, which suggests that Sony is working on bringing the further backwards compatibility for the PlayStations 5 with support for PS3 games.
