Google Pixel 7 Series May Have an Early Launch

Google seems to preparing for an early launch of the Pixel 7 series as the company seems to be ahead of their usual schedule for the production of the latest flagship smartphone. It bears mentioning that Google launched its current generation of smartphones – Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro towards the end of the previous year, becoming the first devices from the company to come with its own Tensor processor.

According to Ross Young, the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), Google could launch the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro earlier than its usual timeframe as the company seems to be ahead in their production schedule. Currently, it is being speculated that Google Pixel 7 series could launch somewhere around September, which will be a bit earlier than its usual launch in October.

However, there is no confirmation yet by the company regarding the matter and despite being head of their production schedule compared to the Pixel 6 series, the company could end up using the extra time to fine-tune their new flagship smartphone and avoid some major bugs like the Pixel 6.

Furthermore, the report says that Google Pixel 7 is expected to have a 6.3-inch display, while their higher-end Pixel 7 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch display. Moreover, the Pixel 7 Pro is said to have a LTPO panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz, while the regular Pixel 7 is expected to carry a 90Hz display with a non-LTPO panel.

Hearing that the Pixel 7 will shrink from 6.4" to 6.3". Pixel 7 Pro will remain 6.7". Panel shipments to start 1 month earlier this year, from May.

The upcoming smartphones are said to be thinner than the current generation – Pixel 6 series, which could mean there will be a slightly smaller battery. There have been renders of the Google Pixel 7 leaked online, showcasing that the design of the smartphone remains unchanged to the Pixel 6 series, but holds some minor improvements.
