Justice For Jazlan Faisal- Teenager Shot Dead in Bahria Town Karachi

Twitter trends with #JusticeForJazlan as netizens demand Justice for Jazlan Faisal Sabir, a 19-year-old boy, who was allegedly shot dead in Bahria Town Karachi on 24th May 2022 by four youngsters after over an argument. Meanwhile, Jazlan’s friend Shah Mir Ali, who was with him at the time, was severely injured and is in recovery after two surgeries.

According to the details, Jazlan Faisal Sabir and Shah Mir Ali, along with some other friends, were travelling to Bahria Town Karachi for a group study session when they came across an underage biker doing stunts and almost had an accident with him.

Jazlan Faisal rolled down the car window and asked the underage rider why he was driving his motorcycle in such a dangerous way and the young boy started hurling abuses, which resulted in exchange of hot words between them and the biker proceeded to call his brothers.

Meanwhile, Jazlan and Shah Mir drove drove away but noticed that they were being followed by the motorcyclist and some people in a car. Upon reaching Bahria Town’s Eiffel Tower, the suspects travelling the car overtook their vehicle and opened fire on them.

As a result, Jazlan Faisal Sabir was shot in the head, while Shah Mir Ali sustained was severely wounded. The incident attracted many people, who rushed Jazlan and Shah Mir to Aga Khan University Hospital, where Jazlan died during treatment. However, Shah Mir Ali survived after two surgeries and is currently in recovery.

Furthermore, a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against four people, including Hasnain Faiz and three brothers (Mohammed Ihsan alias Ahsan, Mohammed Irfan and Mohammed Hasnain), under Section 302, 324, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of the victim’s uncle, Arif Sabir.

According to the police, Hasnain Faiz has been arrested while raids are being carried out to arrest the remaining three suspects. Malir SSP (Investigation) Arab Mahar said that all suspects were teenagers and he did not think that they possessed license for the pistol.
