Zil Hajj Moon Not Sighted – Eid ul Adha 2022 to be Celebrated on July 10

The central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee on Wednesday announced that Zil-Haj moon was not sighted in Pakistan, adding that Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on 10 July 2022 (Sunday).

The announcement was made by chairman Syed Abdul Khabir Azad following the meeting of the Ruet-e-Hilal committee held in Karachi after Maghrib prayers to sight the moon.

He added that no testimony of the moon being sighted was received from any part of the country, therefore, Eid ul Adha 2022 will be celebrated on 10 July 2022 (Sunday) as the first day of Zil-Haj would fall on July 1 (Friday).

Meanwhile, the zonal committees met at their respective headquarters in Islamabad, Lahore, Quetta, and Peshawar.
