Multiple rallies were carried out in Swat and Upper Dir against the presence of Tehreeke-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) video circulating on social media that Militants have returned into Swat valley beside the border fencing with Afghanistan.
The Director of Public Relations Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police has issued the Press Release about the updated situation.
According to the press release, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police is Cognizant of Videos circulating on social media of the heavy presence of Militants in the Valley.
It added that authorities are also aware of the apprehension in the general public that Swat may return to 2008/2009 era when militant ruled the valley with their version of Shariah.
KP Police has assured the public that they are fully cognizant of the fact that some individuals from Swat, who were previously living in Afghanistan, are present in far-flung mountainous areas of Swat.
However, Swat is totally under the control of Civil Administration and all LEAs are ready to respond to any misadventure.
The presser added that peaceful society of Swat has no space for terrorism in any form or manifestation.
LEAs are appropriately placed and will resort to all possible measures to ensure peace in Swat as per the aspirations of the local populace.
