The Government of Punjab has launched the Chief Minister’s (CM) Flood Relief Fund to assist in the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the affected from the severe flooding in the province.
Chief Minister of Punjab, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, announced the establishment of the CM Flood Relief Fund and urged philanthropists and other people to come forward and donate for the assistance of flood victims in the province.
Meanwhile, the CM also discussed the flood situation in the southern parts of the province with PTI leaders, including Asad Umar, Shafqat Mehmood, Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, Aslam Iqbal, Yasmin Rashid, Mohsin Laghari, and Andleeb Abbas.

The Chief Minister added that Punjab Government was with the people in this hour of need and urged other people to come forward and help those affected by the flooding. He also ordered to expedite the relief operations in the affected areas.
It is pertinent to mention that Chief Minister Punjab, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, had also announced Rs. 5 billion for the rehabilitation of the flood victims.
