Sindh Cancels Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai Urs Celebrations Due to Floods

The Government of Sindh has decided to cancel the annual urs celebrations of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai in solidarity with the victims of the severe flooding across the country.

According to the details, a wreath will be placed on his shrine instead of the three-day official festival, which was scheduled to start next week.

It is pertinent to mention that three-day annual urs normally starts on the 14th of Safar in Bhat Shah, which is the saint’s final resting place.

In a similar move, the Pakistan Army’s media wing, the Internal Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced the postponement of Defence Day celebrations in solidarity with the victims of the severe floods in the country.
