Meta’s photo and video sharing platform, Instagram, has been restored after going down for over an hour across the world with with users unable to login or getting a message that their account has been suspended. However, the few people who are able to login to their accounts have noticed a massive drop in followers as their followers’ accounts appear to be suspended.
Instagram confirmed the issue on Twitter, stating, “We’re aware that some of you are having issues accessing your Instagram account. We’re looking into it and apologize for the inconvenience.” followed by the hashtag #InstagramDown, which is also being used by users across the world to report problems with the platform.

Instagram was been completely down for the over an hour with several users unable to login to their accounts, while those who are able to gain access are getting the message, “We suspended your account on October 31, 2022.” while asking users to appeal the decision within 30 days.
However, Instagram has been restored following a worldwide shortage and users are able to login to their accounts and the suspension message has been removed for users. However, the company has not issued an update so far after restoration of their services.
Meta’s messaging platform, WhatsApp, also suffered a similar outage on October 25 as the service remained down for many users across the globe for several minutes before getting restored.
