The decision has been taken in the context of the incident that happened at Parliament House Gate No. 1 on December 23 last month and now only those reporters, journalists and other media personnel who are associated with a registered media organization will be allowed to enter if they have their institution’s card.

However, the Secretariat said that social media influencers who are interested in covering the proceedings of the House should register themselves with the Press Information Department (PID) and obtain a session card of the National Assembly.

It is pertinent to mention that last month some unauthorized YouTubers, TikTokers and other social media influencers had entered the premises of the Parliament House without permission and behaved inappropriately at the Gate No. 1 of the Parliament House.
