The eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 8 2023) has completed its Match 5 between Multan Sultans vs Peshawar Zalmi at the Multan Cricket Stadium. The 2022 champions, Multan Sultans won the match by 56 runs.
Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to bowl first, however, they failed to restrict Multan Sultans, who were able to score 210 runs thanks to Mohammad Rizwan and Rilee Rossouw as both managed 66 and 75 runs, respectively.
Meanwhile, Shan Masood also managed to score 20 runs off 25 balls, while David Miller and Kieron Pollard added 23 and 15 runs to the score towards the end of the innings.
Peshawar Zalmi failed to chase the 211 target set by the Multan Sultans despite Mohammad Haris and Saim Ayub giving it their best as they both scored 40 and 53 runs, respectively.
However, the rest of the batters failed to perform and barely scored more than 15 runs.
