Karachi Police Starts Crackdown on Cars Being Driven on Open Letter

The Sindh Government has launched action vehicles that are not registered, without original number plates, or being driven on open letter. According to the details, the steps are being taken as part of security measures following the attack on the Karachi Police Office (KPO).

The police has already started a crackdown on vehicles that are being driven on open letter and strict action will be taken against violators, which may include heavy fine or imprisonment of up to 3 months or both.

It is pertinent to mention that Sindh Government has banned showroom owners from selling unregistered vehicles, adding that if any vehicle is caught in a crime and it is not registered to the owner, the showroom is be held responsible in the investigation.

These steps have been taken following the terrorist attack on the Karachi Police Office (KPO) that resulted in the martyrdom of five law enforcement officers, while 18 others, which included police and Rangers, were injured.
