The Government of Sindh has announced a public holiday on 23 March 2023 (Thursday) on account of Pakistan Day throughout the province of Sindh.
In a notification issued by the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department of Sindh, it stated, “The Government of Sindh declares 23rd March, 2023 (Thursday) as Public Holiday on the occasion of “Pakistan Day” throughout the Province of Sindh,”
However, the public holiday does not apply to essential services, including those engaged in COVID-19 and flood relief duties.

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has also issued a notification announcing a bank holiday on Pakistan Day. According to the State Bank of Pakistan, all commercial banks in the country will remain closed on that day.
