Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) Limited has announced a schedule for gas loadshedding in Karachi as supply will remain suspended in the metropolis due to pipeline relocation.
According to SSGC, a relocation of high-pressure gas pipeline traversing along I.I Chandigarh Road near Habib Bank Plaza has been planned, which is going to result in gas shutdown / suspension in parts of Karachi.
The gas shutdown will take place from 10 pm on 7 June 2023 to 5 am on 8 June 2023 for a total of 7 hours. The supply of gas will return to normal after the scheduled work on the relocation of the gas pipeline.
During the gas shutdown, the following areas of Karachi will be affected:
- Lyari
- Garden
- Saddar
- Avari Hotel
- PC Hotel
- Marriot Hotel
- Civil Hospital TBS
- Aram Bagh Area
- Kharadar
- I.I Chandigarh Road Area
- National Bank TBS
- MCB Tower TBS
- Karachi Stock Exchange Area
