SBP Announces Bank Holidays for Eid ul Azha

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced two bank holidays on the occasion of Eid ul Azha 2023.

According to the notification issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), all banks will remain closed on 29th and 30th June 2023 (Thursday and Friday).

“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on 29th & 30th June, 2023 (Thursday & Friday) being public holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.” the central bank added.

It is pertinent to mention that the Federal Government has already announced three public holidays from 29th June 2023 to 1st July 2023 on the occasion of Eid ul Azha.

The announcement comes a day after the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee (RHC) sighted of the crescent for the month of Zil Hajj during a meeting held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad.
