“Only a legal Saudi resident or citizen can apply for a family visit visa on behalf of the visitor.” said the Ministry on X, formerly known as Twitter. Prior to visiting the Grand Mosque to perform Umrah, all visa holders are advised to ensure that they have scheduled an Umrah appointment via the Nusuk or Tawakkalna applications.

It must be noted that Muslims holding various entry visas, including personal, visitor, and tourist visas, are permitted to perform Umrah and visit Al Rawda Al Sharifa, the site of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) tomb within the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.

However, they are required to make an e-appointment prior to their visit.
