The Pakistani Cricket Board (PCB) has made history by appointing its first female media head, a seasoned sports journalist, Aalia Rasheed.

Aalia Rasheed, who is PCB’s new Director of Media and Communication, has become the first female ever to take on the role of media head.

According to her X (formerly known as Twitter) profile, she holds a distinction of being the first Pakistani female cricket anchor and journalist.

She has worked with prestigious organizations, including the International Cricket Council (ICC), Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Pakistan Television (PTV), British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), and Radio Pakistan.

Aalia has also been involved in filmmaking and writing over the course of her career.

Previously, she served as a prominent cricket analyst on a private news channel for the past eight years.
