McDonald’s Pakistan Clarifies It’s Not Affiliated With Operations in Israel

There has been public backlash towards McDonald’s Pakistan over their Israeli counterpart providing free meals to the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), while Palestinian children and women go starving.

People started running social media campaigns to boycott McDonald’s Pakistan in protest to their support of the IDF. However, McDonald’s Pakistan has issued an official statement clarifying that it is not affiliated with operations in Israel.

“McDonald’s in Pakistan is a local enterprise, with full ownership and operation overseen by SIZA Foods Pvt. Ltd. Pakistan. We are not affiliated with McDonald’s operations in Israel, which is locally-owned Israeli enterprise.” McDonald’s Pakistan wrote.

“McDonald’s in Israel operates as a separate entity to McDonald’s Pakistan, and makes its own business and communications decisions, independent of our business in Pakistan” it added.

It further added, “We do not engage in any form of political involvement. Our dedication is solely to delivering the McDonald’s experience you love and trust.”
