Islamabad United has taken to X (formerly Twitter) to tease the announcement of its new head coach for the upcoming Pakistani Super League’s ninth edition aka PSL 9, which is scheduled to start in February 2024.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Islamabad United said, “We’re gearing up to reveal the mastermind who will coach your #Sherus for #HBLPSL9.” after being coached by fast-bowling all-rounder Azhar Mehmood in the previous season.

Islamabad United is one of two teams to have won the PSL twice with reigning champions Lahore Qalandars being the other team. However, Islamabad United were knocked during the Eliminator round of the PSL 8 last year.
The PSL draft is scheduled to take place in December 2023, however, the exact date is yet to be announced. Furthermore, the PSL 9 tournament will commence from February 2024 as usually but it will likely take place after February 8’s General Elections.
