This ban on sale of firearms applies across all regions of the country, and the Ministry has explicitly stated that receipts from dealers, aside from those from the Pakistan Ordinance Factory, will not be considered valid for arms transactions.

Furthermore, the ban extends to the sale of weapons categorized as prohibited bore by arms dealers, who are strictly forbidden from engaging in such transactions.

The official notification delineates strict measures, reserving the sale of prohibited bore arms exclusively for individuals holding valid licenses.

License holders are required to procure arms exclusively from the Pakistan Ordinance Factory, as any acquisition from other dealers renders the transaction ineligible for an arms license.

Consequently, licenses will only be granted for arms obtained through the Pakistan Ordinance Factory, emphasizing a thorough and centralized approach to overseeing arms transactions.

The Ministry’s initiative is geared towards bolstering control over firearm sales, ensuring that all transactions adhere to specified regulations. This move is aimed at fostering a more regulated and secure environment surrounding the acquisition of firearms.
