How to Get a Police Character Certificate in Punjab?
Citizens now have the ability to obtain a Police Character Certificate in Punjab by visiting the Police Khidmat Markaz (PKM) for the particular district / address for which the Character Certificate is required.
Required Documents
To obtain a Police Character Certificate, the following documents are necessary:
1. Original CNIC or B-Form and Photocopy
Please provide the original Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) or Birth Registration Form (B-Form) along with a photocopy.
2. Original and Copy of Passport
Submit both the original and a photocopy of your passport.
3. Affidavit
Include a duly signed affidavit along with your application.
4. Authority Letter (For Applicants Abroad)
If the applicant is abroad, an authority letter is required. Ensure the letter is stamped by the relevant Embassy or attested by two reputable individuals known to the applicant. The authority letter should specify the duration of the applicant’s stay.
5. Photograph (If Certificate of a Blood Relative is Required)
Include a photograph if you are obtaining the certificate on behalf of a blood relative.
6. Submission by Blood Relative (If Applicant is Out of Country)
If the applicant is abroad, the form can be submitted by a blood relative (brother, father, mother, sister, etc.) along with the applicant’s authority letter.
Processing Fee
Applicants are obligated to pay a processing fee of Rs500 for the character certificate. The fee can be deposited at any of the counters of PKM.
Turnaround Time
Certificates will be dispatched via courier within three working days from the applicant’s date.
